18/6 - Lighting period usually used in Vegetative growth
24/0 - Lighting on constant
AC - Alternating current (mains)
Auto - A plant with an automatic flowering time, regardless of change in light hours.
BG - background ec or British Green
BOTM - bud of the month
CBD - Cannabidiol
CC - constant current (a mode where the driver maintains a constant IF by varying VF )
CDM - Ceramic Discharge Metal Halide
CFL - Compact Florescent Lamp
CFM - cubic feet per minute
COB - Chips On Board

CV - constant voltage ( a mode where the driver varies IF to maintain a steady VF)
DC - Direct Current (Usually battery or power supply)
DO - dissolved oxygen
DSLR - Digital single lens reflex
DWC - Deep water culture
E40 - Eddison 40 Screw trhread. Standard fitting on most HPS/MH lamps
EC - Electrical Conductivity
EC - Electronically commutated, which applies to modern grow fans. AC is converted to DC giving superior control and efficiency.
Efficacy - The ability to produce the desired result ( dried flowers ) and is often measured in grams per watt or PPF per joule of energy
F1 - First generation clone
FFS - For fucks sake
FIM - To pinch or cut the newest growth
OR
F.I.M - fuck I missed ( when topping a plant he missed instead of two heads he got three )
FML - fuck my life (very important one that)
GLR - Gas lamp routine
GPW - Grams per watt
HID - High Intensity Discharge
HPS = High Pressure Sodium.
HST - High stress training
IF - Forward DC driving current
Imo - In my opinion
Imho - In my humble opinion

kWh - Measurement of power used in one hour
LEC - Light Emitting Ceramic
LED - Light Emitting Diode
LST - Low stress training
Lumen - Measurement of light output of bulb
M3/hour - Extraction rate of your fan
M_C - One of the admins here
M.C/S.C - Monster clone or super clone ( clones cuttings taken when in flower and re_vegged )
MH - Metal Halide
NPK - the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium within a fertiliser or medium
Nutes - nutrient/fertiliser
PAR - photosynthetic active radiation
PARA - Parabolic shade
PH - Potential of hydrogen
PH - Measure of how acidic/alkalaine fluid is. Range 0 - 14, 7 being neutral
Photo - A plant that requires it's light cycle to change to 12 hours light/12 hours dark in order to begin the process of flowering
POETS day - Piss off early tomorrow is Saturday (British Green's Favorite day)
POTM - plant of the month
PPFD - photosynthetic photon flux density
PSU - Power supply unit
PSI - Pounds/Square Inch
RDWC - Recirculating Deep Water Culture
RES - Reservoir
RH - Relative Humidity
RO - Reverse Osmosis
SOG - Sea of green - A growing technique where lots of plants are packed together (No more than 10 obviously)
ScrOG - Screen Of Green
T5 - Fluorescent tube lighting with ideal spectrum for seedlings/Vegetative growth
TBSH - the big strain hunt
THC - Tetrahydrocannabinol
TOP - To cut the newest node off completely (usually 4th or 5th)
VEG - The plants growth period before the flowering/fruiting stage
VF - Forward DC voltage for driving LED cob or board
Watt - Unit of power, usually measured in kW
WPOTM - worst plant of the month
