Default Venting warm air to cold outside

    Hi all

I'm trying to overcome heat problems in a closet, and I was planning to run the exhaust fan through the outside wall straight to outside. I'm just thinking that the winters here can get really cold, like even -22F, so will the outcoming warm air show up as vapor at that point? Thanks.

Whether or not the vented air would show as vapour would depend on humidity content, but if everywhere is snowy and you have one spot on your house where snow is melting, it might draw the wrong kind of attention.

Can you hook that to, say, a bathroom exhaust vent?

A late thanks for your answer. I went ahead and drilled a hole through the grow closet wall. I think the air is dry enough not to come out as vapor even in winter, although I gotta keep an eye out for the outlet air melting frost on the wall around it etc. But yeah,it was pretty much my only option and now the temps seem to keep under 28C.

If its that cold outside why not use that as your air in at that point.
