    Default Why no https://?

Why doesn't THCTalk use https for security? Could it be implemented?

In what way do you believe the site would be more secure?
It's Not What You Know, It's What You Can Prove

    Missiles...you forgot the missiles LOL

But, seriously, HTTPS isn't overly required for sites such as this.... it's not as if it's a financial site where I would insist on HTTPS

Indeed, where bank details are transferred n shit like that. Still, can we get missiles? Thought that was only in the https upgrade?

Well,I just always browse with Tor and when logging in here it always prompts me "not secure" because of the plain http... I know paranoia easily goes to extremes but hey, we live in Orwell's 1984 already so better safe than sorry.

From Wikipedia:"On a site that has sensitive information somewhere on it, every time that site is accessed with HTTP instead of HTTPS, the user and the session will get exposed. "

In plain English, everytime you log on, your password is sent in plain text to the server, rather than end to end encryption (Anyway it is rumored that the NSA have cracked SSL encryption...). Also, for our purposes, the user & session will be exposed even with HTTPS

I assume that you are using the TOR bundle with Firefox? It is Firefox that is complaining, not TOR

I can appreciate the jokes, but still I live in a country where growing is illegal and potentially I have a lot to lose.
