    Default Mackys Amsterdam Bonsai

So, whilst in the Dam with the talkers over the weekend, Ironman and I found a proper market, and one of the things there were selling were the cheap bonsai trees. 7.50 euro. So I had to buy one!

I’ve been considering bonsai for a while now, and have done some research, and this thing probably ain’t gonna grow lol, but I’m gonna give it a go.

So, this is a diary, for my Amsterdam bonsai, this may be the only post, it may be the first in a diary that spans a decade!

I’m going to germinate today, and germination takes ten weeks!! Gonna look up the best method, get some pics up, and forget about it for a month.

No trimming at all can be done for the first year, and I’m looking at five years before it grown into a tree. Let’s see how we do:

Beautiful tree that is, I really hope it works out.

    Inside we have:

Instructions.... that are not very detailed lol.
Bag of dirt, looks black, think is good shit
Pot that’s stuck to a tray, with two big holes in the bottom
    And a picture card.

It says I need to cover the holes with a layer of fine gravel, or pot shards. And also cover the compost with a fine layer of gravel, or small stones. Non of these I have, so off to the bonsai shop.... or b n q lol

The gravel/pot shards is for drainage. Bit of perlite might do the trick

Yer man, my turtle needed some new pebbles for her tank, so bought plenty. Going to soak the seeds for 24 hours, then pop them in the soil, and sit them in the fridge for three months..... wtf, this is gonna take patience lol.

I think I’m gonna enjoy it though lol. In for the long haul.... if it goes well and actually pops, and grows. Im gonna buy hundred of them lol. Grow them over the next five years, make them all pukka as fuck, and sell em for a grand each 😂 Sounds crazy, probably more like hundred quid lol, but some of those tress go for grands mate! Crazy money, worth the investment if you got space for some trees to sit for a few years lol

Seeds are soaking, three of them I have:

Put some eco thrive biosys, microbe tea, into the medium, then watered the fuck out of it, now letting it drain. Put some nice white stones on the top to make it look nice, and left a hole in the middle so I can plant these seeds tomorrow.

They will go into the fridge tomorrow ( the fucking fridge you know, wtf is that about lol) in a bag, and left for atleast 90 days.

Popping cindy jock today, so they should be done by the time I get a shoot out of this pmsl!
