The problem for most people seems to be keeping them alive once they’ve bought them. They’re not easy plants to keep, take lots of patience, and the right environment. I’ll be surprised if mine last the five years before it’s official ya tree lol, but we shall see what happens

Put the kettle on? You got time to brew your own whiskey ffs lol

I’m expecting to see a shoot when the cindy jock comp ends. Grow a full auto in the time it takes to germinate. Shocking

my brother used to do them for years, he used saplings tho and rooted them into quality soil, you skip the whole process of germing and get a head start, oh and your right as to how they are worth a bitta money, i couldn’t believe how a stick bent in soil could go for a near as £90 all depending on the type of plant that was grown, the rarer the tree the higher the price, he did a chinese blossom went for £250 was a good 6years in soil and wired in shape.
he then found another market in selling pots! sometimes the amateurs would sell plants for a tenner in pots that were worth £50!
takes time and patience and a decent size tiered table to work on them preferbly in a greenhouse type enclosure. tho my brother did them outside in the elements said they hardened up quicker and learnt to keep small, much like the original bonsais that were taken from the cliff sides back in asia.
hes no room for it now but would love to go back to it, i suggested he do a wee grow instead
skin it roll it lick it twist it.
