    Default Another wiring question

This is perhaps the wrong forum to ask this on... but it's linked to heating my cabin which will be my plants home so hopefully it's allowed

So I have a heater that was left in my garage by the old owners. Think they replaced it for a real log burner so hoping this one still works.

Wondering if I can just stick a 3 pin uk plug on it. See below pics. Any advice appreciated.

nah if im right in thinking you need a fairly heavy cable running into that fuse breaker from the mains, id wait till a sparky or somebody who know their electrics looks it over before you attempt anything if your not comfortable with electrics

Yes you could swap that out for a 3 pin socket

Yeah, hopefully a sparky or two in thetalk so might get lucky with a solid answer. I'm no pro with this stuff but I'm good at following instructions and love getting a grasp of new things. Especially things like this that I reckon I ought to know by my age lol.

Balls... couldn't find a 13amp plug and I'm assuming that's what's needed since the old switch had a 13amp fuse in it. Amazon prime to the rescue.

Ah I see... the bulbs just there to make it look pretty then? My wife may want that but then it's easy to just lift off the top and screw one in when we want it to glow. Wonder what a green bulb would look like. Might be cool to see fake green flames heheh
