I've seen side by side grows with Coco and Organic Soil by green house, and The Organic Soil wins Weight every time. Now with that being said I hope some day my Organic will be good enough for some of those results.

Cant comment on taste I use Tobacco so it probably masks alot of taste. Always felt like guesswork in soil but coco feels more precise and responsive for me, you know exactly what you giving and its effects in real time. Plus it's impractical to do home organic mixes when you live in a flat imo. Both methods produce banging results though just yer preference init.

I use a product called Promix, which is a vermiculite/perlite blend with some buffering added. It is great for drainage and I've never had a problem with overwatering of nutrients. Promix doesn't come with added nutrients (although I think they make a potting soil with added fertilizer), so I am in total control of nutrients without worrying about overfeeding. I don't think Promix is available in the UK/EU, but there has to be an equivalent for it. Promix is impossible to mess up unless you try hard to do it. 1 bale of promix, two tablespoons of wood ashes, and 2 feedings with a 20-20-20 fertilizer will grow monsters in a 5 gallon bucket with good lights. It's simple, foolproof, and easy.

Even better the money I save in the grow shop on bottles kills it plus the medicine can’t be beaten.

Sorry Redz I don't see the masses nor a high percentage of folk growing organic imho ,what I do know is folk who love organic food for instance seem to look down on others ,they drive Prius and hug trees..let's take the M&S free range corn fed Oakham chickens they sell ...Oakham dosnt even exist ,it's a load of nonsense ..I guess you must be spending your time on other sites these days for organic growers as I don't see you here ever ...oh and your plant in Potm is riddled with grot on at least 3 different sites, instead of paying all you attention to below ground is look upwards to what's going on above ground imho ....snobbery and elitism springs to mind

Soil for simplicity. Wouldnt know my arsehole from my elbow with all this ''EC'' ''PH going in,PH going out'' ''multiple feeds per day'' bollocks, i'd just get mucking fuddled.Sure, there are loads of problems you can encounter using soil but you live and learn. As for organic, nothing elitist about it when it comes to growing weed in my mind, just the fact i dont want to be inhaling a whole host of shite but it just boils down to different strokes for different folks,do whatever you are comfortable with.

Recently switched from organic. Biobizz all mix using Biobizz nute range Grow, Bloom, Fish Mix, and top max.

Now using Canna coco with the canna Rhizotonic, A+B and pk 13/14 nutrients.

I prefer the rapid responses coco give, see a problem you have a problem, fix problem, problem gone.
Soil I was always battling, see a problem you HAD a problem, fix problem, wait a week to see if problem fixed.

Taste wise, after 30 years smoking 40+ cigarettes a day my taste buds are fcuked anyway I don't see much difference in taste but haven't done a direct side by side to compare in fairness.

It's all subjective, find what works for you and roll with it. Doesn't mean anyone who uses a different method is wrong or right, they just found what works for them
An adaptable approach to growing rather than a stuck in the way approach, I believe, will ultimately make you a better grower, which is why we are all here

NO SELL, NO SMELL, NO TELL!!!

The easiest I've used is Promix. Add 20% composted manure, and water daily or whenever they need it. Feed every 15 days with 20-20-20 generic nutes. Thats it. 35 years later, I can't say I've found anything easier. No meters, no bottles, no potions. Oh, maybe 2 tablespoons of wood ashes added in for micro nutrients.
