Insulation wise I think there’s more than enough in the loft to use some of that, I was wondering weather I should cover the under side of the roof too but maybe that’s over kill- see how it goes I guess. Pretty sure it’ll be harder warning an uninsulated room up there than it’ll be cooling it down? Still to work put intake/outtake holes for fans. Plan a 4” in and 5/6” out?

Still thinking of the best way to cover the front and backs
Sorry mate, by rafters I meant underneath the roof lol the beams which go up to the apex of the roof. I'd already put down insulation and boarded out the whole thing, then set about stopping heat escaping from the roof and keeping the loft itself cool.
Another benefit is the bedrooms below are much warmer in the winter so heating bills are reduced a bit.
    Let's get it on!

Just as an FYI, properly insulating the roof can save as much as 35% on your annual heating bill, obviously will be compounded by walls/window construction but well worth doing

Couple of sh*t pics but seems to be going ok. I’ll seal all joints with silicon before fitting the black and white sheets. I’m not sure what I’ll do with the front and back walls yet if anyone has any suggestions.

Regarding the roof I’m insulating over the grow space too..

Bit of polystyrene or something similar, would be good to insulate as not usually a cavity between there so would be cold surface

I’ve already bought waaaay more than I’ll need, along with floor liner 😂. Might go over the outside with it too.

I think for now I’ll just use that for the front until I figure out the best way to keep access open?

How you extracting mate? I was lucky as my exhaust landed right next to the chimney stack so I spent an hour removing bricks so I could go straight out through there.
I was initially extracting into the loft and I struggled with temps quite a bit so had to get it sorted fast. You'll find it's the little things which cause the biggest headaches lol.
Mon the sleepless nights thinking about your setup
