    Default Talking Nutrients With Blue

I’ve seen a few Q and A threads popping up around the forum. Having a general interest in what’s on the market and how different products give different results I seem to have tried pretty much the majority and if I haven’t theres most likely a very good reason for it.

So do you have a question on nutrients or additives? Soil/organic, coco and hydro. Thinking of a new product, not sure how to use a product or what it’s npk ratio means, Issues with your current nutes?

Ask away. I’m sure between us all you’ll get an answer

    Bloody good idea Blue.

I am nearly done with my two Canna A&B 5 litre jobs. Have been looking at Ionic range. Your thoughts, and all THCtalkers too, on the Ionic range?

    Hi Viz

Ionic would be a good choice, there cheap to buy there range is simple and most importantly there a long standing tried and tested company.

The previous canna you have is to be used with all water types as you already know.. The ionic however tailor there nutes to suit both hard and soft water types. You may find switching to something more suited to your water gives a healthy plant.

Ionics cal mag pro is very good

Advanced nutrients have discontinued a product? Are they re realising it in 10 seperate bottles at £40 a piece?

All jokes aside I know they have served you well so hopefully a new one gives the same if not better results..Rather than OT try the Buddhas Tree Organicus as a first choice or the canna Bio Flores. I’m not a fan of OT, I used to be but in my opinion it ain’t what it used to be

    Dear Blue,

I'm playing with my organic soil mix. What do you think?

    Perlite %20
    Worm Castings % 10
    Bone %2
    Blood %2
    Epsom %1
    Soil %65

The soil is a compost/Top soil mix with a little perlite thats mixed local. It is fungal/bacterial active.

I plan on dosing with a molasses (and possibly kelp) tea weekly. I'm good with any other product suggestions other than fish as the smell makes me violent.

    Thanks!

Nice thread blue. RAW bloom and grow microbes, not the feed. Any good and worth the doe? Not so bothered about the organic side. As we said bang for your buck with npk industries. 👍🏻 also I'm using biosys once a week, when would you feed molasses after the biosys and would you add the sugar to your base nutes?
    Cheers lad

Your mix and plans sound fine, but I’m not sure about the addition of Epsom in there. I’d sooner use this as a folier drench and use calicified seaweed as a replacement at the roots.

I’d also consider adding in a small amount of coco coir amongst those as it has great aeration properties. The root development is worth the small fee Coco costs.

Volcanic rockdust would be another good addition. Plenty of traces in there 60+ to give an idea.. Some are sceptical on this one but I’m a fan

The idea of the Raw grow and bloom microbes is a good one but not something you would need. The majority of microbes your getting from both the grow and bloom packets you already have in the Bioseys... So it would be money spent on something you already have in your arsenal.

If your wanting to boost the herd using products like these your nute line up needs to be strictly non synthetic and your water needs to be stood everytime before use. Anything less than this and your wasting time and money as there will be no herd to boost.

If you have organic base nutes they will be molasses based as they all are. So again your already using this stuff without knowing. For adding extra I’d feed molasses and water only the odd once or twice between feeds after Bioseys.
