Hey, whilst you are on it, is there a way to "secure" the site? I use Chrome and I get a red warning triangle that says "Not secure". Thanks v much, people.

No, this is the http vs https. I know the https should be what we see after we have logged in, but that about all I know.

We could add a ssl certification but we would have to block all content such as images hosted from third parties ie tinypic because they still use http....Any content coming from non https would flag (mixed content) therefore break the cert...However there is a way to do it by redirecting the content through force http// to https// but that would be for the site owner to implicate, its behold the scope of our normal admins I think it may be done at some point though there was some mention of it not long back..

    Regards BL

How can you mention about security & anything Google related in the same sentence?

But, to answer your question, a few of the browser companies took it upon themselves to decide what was, & what was not, 'secure' by the use of HTTPS. No HTTPS means that the spyware called Google Chrome has the audacity to say the site is not secure whilst failing to mention that is hoovering up every bit of information it can about you, your PC & your browsing habits... Don't be evil....!

The difference between HTTPS & HTTP (for the purpose above) is that your username/password are passed to the site in plain text when you log on... Considering that it is rumored(1) that the NSA have cracked HTTPS why could we then consider HTTPS secure?
If this were a banking site then I would take the 'secure' bit with a little more seriousness, but a percy site?

But, anyway, 'secure' in computer terms is no more than an illusion that you have been fed - All 'real' security tools have been banned or bought out

    (1) The NSA were rumored to have done this back in 2013

Whilst still a ball ache, there is a fairly(ish!) simple way of doing it... but I really don't see the point. If our site programmer is not worried about it, then neither am I

I have trouble with my malewarebits some times, they block my email, and make me very mad, so I have to email them and have them to quit doing that. They never give reason, I think they just having fun. Sick fuckers.
