Hi guys. Been at it a few months now collecting bits and bobs. Not far off ready to go so I thought I?d share my loft room with you all. Any advice or tips are welcome.
Started out taking measurements. Checking how much space we have to work with. Quite reasonable when you size it up.
Got the loft ladder in, ordered some Kingspan off a builder mate at mate rates.
Then started getting the cross beams in ply down for the floor and Kingspan up into the beams. I?m a bit weary of how much weight is going on these trusses as I know they don?t build them like they used to so I?m keeping an eye on the ceiling make sure there?s no cracks.
Better picture after it was all swept out. Had a delivery of black and white plastic so due to get that up and also had my smscom hybrid turn up so waiting on some parts for that.
Spent the afternoon taking two legs up the wall. Went through the lighting circuit with a drill so had to rip a bit of wall out patch it up and all that. Mrs fucking fuming as you can imagine haha. All sorted now and have a double socket up there on the upstairs ring. Just need some more twin and earth to put a second in. Pinned all the floor boards down and made a start with the black and white and also put shelves up for my nutrients. Starting to mould together now.
Just need to get a front on it now and make a door up. Got enough Kingspan to do the front. Bought some hinges and baton. Should look half decent once it?s done now.
I have two sockets and the smscom to go on a bit of board at the front make sure there?s no live inside the tent. I have a 6? intake and 8? extract, 2 x600w hps got a digital ballast need to source another keep it lighter up there.
At present it seems my best option for extract is the air tile but I?m not sure this is the wisest. I don?t want it to be gushing air out 24/7 as it?s cause noise. I?m hoping the controller will help along with insulated ducting.
Prob forgot a bit so I?ll add as it goes on. Will keep you all updated. Drop in any suggestions they?re most certainly welcome.
Cheers
