Default Led lights on a budget

Ive been looking into ways of reducing the heat in my tent and the most plausible solution to me now is 600w led to replace my 600w HPS. I was thinking of using a cool tube or a hood which will be about ?50 minimum including ducting and ties and then with electricity of keeping the HPS running will be a lot higher so thats why im thinking LED. Now my question really is what 600w LEDs are out there for a budget of about ?100 and will it be any good?

Check out Invisible Sun boards, I think they also offer 10% off for being a forum member. They are a little DIY but the cheapest high end option for you. If you go down the Mars pro style route which are cheaper to buy of the bat, you will have higher running costs and poorer overall yield in comparison to the IS boards. I just bought a sec of Migro cod LEDs which I personally prefer but they are a more expensive route in to LEDs.

    Good luck!

Any 600w LED you see in your budget is not fit for purpose compared to a 600w HPS

Sadly you won?t get anything comparable to a 600w hps for 100 quid. Check out invisible sun for well priced, good quality leds or Migro if your budget expands. Thing to remember is that you need to look at what watts is being pulled from the wall, not advertised on the box, there?s a big difference. I have a 300w hydro mars (1:20w from the wall), it?s great for early veg. Check out Migros YouTube channel for loads of info and comparisons on most popular brands. There?s a bit to learn with leds but it?s easy after you have put a little time in. Good luck mate :-)

Best advice I can give is, 100 quid will get you a Prakasa 100w cob. That's the best bang for your buck with that budget imo.

I've used and been very happy with the prakasa 100. If you decide to go that route then buy direct from them if you can, there's a few dodgy fuckers on Amazon and eBay. As I found out myself 😉

Won't come close to 600watt of HPS though ☹

Is your budget for equipment or total cost over the year?

Im very much a budget LED grower, ive been using 2x 300w Meizhi LED's and have had some decent grows with them. Nowhere near as good as Migro or some of the other top line LED's but i cant complain,'does what it says on the tin' and im happy with them.

I have two 600hps lights and was unable to control the heat. Had two 10inch fans and one 24inch. But when I turned my extractor fan with carbon filter on it always on around 25? sometimes it creeps up to 28max. But lowered one down to 400watts as I'm not always around.

Extractor fan works miracles as it takes out the hot heat air and pushes it out the window.

I use a 300w LED along with black orchid fan and filter, that keeps tent perfect temp cool... These 3 has barely increased my E bill when watching my smart meter thing running 24 hrs... You may always have to go over what you're budget is as I learnt but can still keep it cheap, as for reducing heat could you not add a few small fans like cheap USB ones?
