Worm bins are amazing, I'm feeding mine almost exclusively with Guinea pig poop and the little rats get stuff from the garden, loads of carob pods and compressed alfalfa chunks and then the worms turn those but nuggets into even more amazing stuff.
GP poo you can also use directly because just like bunny poo it's considered to be a cold manure.
if you feed them your trimmings then you are really closing the loop.

I juice my canna leaves for myself most the time the worms get the fan leaves after harvest the roots go to the compost pile which comes to the worms later
The idea is to make my compost loaded with kelp, fish meal,,crab meal, neem and heavy on the rockdust then get this through the worms and it’ll be loaded with all the needed pgr’s hormones the fucking lot the castings will truly be gold
You’ll hear where I’m heading with this when you hear coot on worm bins, fucking genius
Here’s some that found the barley and left overs from my nettle and comfrey tea I put in

A proper mixture of brandlings and dendrobenas
    Bless
    Redz
