    Default Neem oil and nitrogen

Hey Redz its your super annoying keen organic pest here

I was wondering, so neem can fix nitrogen and neem meal is a good fertilizer. So does the oil contain similar amounts of Nitrogen? So when you foliar the plant for pests you are delivering a dose of N aswell ?

The reason I ask is that at the start of the Livers they got over fed and we think it was the charge but then I remembered I gave a 15ml per litre neem spray down that day too and wondered if the neem oil is what tipped the balance?

    Many thanks

    Ahhhhhh haaa
So the heavy neem IPM spray on such a little plant combined with the charge maybe caused a little bit of N toxicity then possibly

Is it 6% in meal and oil do you know ?

Ohh definetly bud . I would say its the same .after all . Its the seeds that is pressed to make the oil ajd the seed is ground to make the meal . The mealnis slow release and thr oil is most likely instant release

I don’t think so mate because if this is the case when I bubble neem meal for 20 hours and use this as a pest spray instead of the oil for a change and I can do a excellent soil drench too, it should be burning the plants then too , I can’t explain this without maybe sounding stupid so I’ll break to read/find my answer properly lol

    The mans on the job!

I've never heard anyone caution neem oil as a foliar causing nitrogen burn. Once a week should be fine from my understanding.

I thought If you're trying to knock something down you should spray 3 times in 72 hours.. if the N is high then youd burn the hell out of them.

    Correct brother
is the life cycle of a mite were breaking that’s why we do the 3 sprays 72 apart, but I have often sprayed 3 times in a week with the addition of fulvic acid which would only enhance burning!
