Ah I see. Thought u had some sort of new germing method. Haha. My starter pots were filled with my homemade organic soil yesterday and the beans will be stuck in em in Sunday when I'm home with the boy.

No just stuffing them directly in the soil, usually I'd pre soak seeds like this but since it's inside I'm not worried about the soil drying out too fast so I didn't do that this time.

Lol, no mostly just grass, only 9 beans in there of which 7 have sprouted so far.
That gras was a stupid move, you can see the mess that I've already trimmed off it to be able to keep the lights low

Edit: To avoid confusion I went with the grass and not tomatoes or peppers

Beans are in water for a few hours then going into some peat pots in the propagator later today. I will be picking the best one out the 3 to go in its spot in the garden. And after watching lots of videos I think it's gonna be in everything else's spot too. Hoping I can train the vines the way I want them to go. But we will see. This is my first attempt at growing anything other than weed and some herbs.
    Cheers

Squash and pumpkins all tend to 'run' the same direction on my property. Its worth taking a looking at the areas in your spot that get the most sun as the day progresses. Mine all grow towards the area with the best afternoon sun. Smart plants they are

Yep they will be in full sun (if we get any) from around 11 in the morning until sundown. The way I'm hoping they run is where the sun hits the garden first thing. Then they will have sun all day. Fingers crossed eh haha. I hope we have a summer like we did last year My dad grew some very nice gem squash in a big plastic tub of all things. He has tried and failed many times before in this country haha. We had some some good sun last year tho.

Forgot to add these yesterday. Waiting for my heat mat so they are in a propagator above the boiler at the minute.
