    Default First outdoor grow

Yo, I've just started my first outdoor grow so I figured I would keep a diary so that I could get help and tips from other members.

So I'm going to be growing three main plants because that's all I have space for right now. I've germinated six seeds and all six have sprouted a tap root and are currently in the soil and the sun. Two have started to sprout up and the rest look promising.

Excited for what is to come and will keep you updated.

Hi MufasaT. Lucky you being able to grow outdoors, and at this time of year! I am also curious about that soil.
    Happy growing! Cheers!

Haha nah, I'm from South Africa, it's coming towards the end of summer so I'm just in time for an outdoor grow.

It's just natural soil as I don't really know much about ideal growing mediums.

They're just bagseeds from strains that friends have recommended. Not really fussy with the seeds just trying to establish an effective grow method right now.

Hey man, yeah the South African climate helps!

It's just natural soil from my yard at this point. I've been reading that this isn't really an effective medium but I'm a beginner so I don't have much knowledge on the field.

All seeds are different. Maybe you will get lucky and take to the soil. You might need to start over with a better soil build. We should find out soon enough.

I have planned to move them to bigger pots once it gets closer to the veg stage. The medium in there is 50% organic compost and 50% natural soil. Should I remove the natural soil before transplanting?

You need something light with aeration. Can you get some perlite to mix in at about 30%? There will be others on later or tomorrow that know loads more than me about soils.
