    Default Alternatives to Rhino Pro

    Hi talkers.

I got through my first grow with a 5" rvk and 5" rhino pro filter, but the rvk burned out and the filter didn't seem to work as well as I'd have liked prior to that happening.

Well I've now got a 6" RVK and wondering what are the best filters for it? I've seen people leaning more towards mountain air? I'm unsure of any other reputable brands though. Aiming to spend ~£100

    Current extraction fan:

Also this means I've a 5" rhino pro sitting around unused now, after only 1 grow. I would assume people don't buy second hand filters though?

Use it on your intake mate, it'll keep a lot of dust out the groom

How did you get on returning the faulty fan?

Another option is a 150>125 reducer to use the filter on your huge fan. Not ideal at high speeds though

They're arguing it on Paypal but I've just sent it back and feeling confident they'll either replace or refund! Or Paypal will force their hand either way :-D If they do opt to replace it I'll use it as an intake
Yeah I considered that but figured it'd just terrorize the filter. Although I am also going to invest in a better fan controller now too so might be ok on low speed perhaps...

    Paypal will sort you out.

That 6 inch is 5 years old so could have seen a bit of use

He said he used it for 6 months and then it's sat unused for a while, full of cobwebs it was lol. But hell it was only £38 and his good feedback swayed me. Just tryna cop a good deal lol ^_^

Seeing these titles on mountain air filters. Unsure what the /500 and /620 represents?

He didnt lie, not a bad price and should last a life time ( even with that fan controller you have unless the controller is faulty )

I don't trust that cheap controller anymore lol. It'd be cool to have a proper reliable one that can control both intake and extraction. I'll defo need one active as my current tent is only 90x90x200cm lol.
