Default ANy way to fix them shitty little clip fans?

I've always tried to buy the decent brand clip fans, but they always conk out on me. They basically just stop spinning. The motor is still trying to turn, but it's as if the fan part has seized. Some of them attempt to spin, but only move very slowly. I'd love to know a way to fix them, as I have loads of the fkers.

    Cheers mateys

The secret to the fans is...and don't tell everyone this...NEVER turn them off.

They'll run forever if you leave them on.

It's usually the bearings in them that fail first. Throw them in the bin, they're no good for a long term solution

Personally, I use a 7" Argos basic 7" oscillating fan, I tend to get 3/4 year out of them

But yeah - I feel yer pain, mate. I'm not entirely sure clip-on fans are bought by anyone other than us, but the quality is shocking, innit?

Yeah - I know, but once you turn them off after a few months, they're generally impossible to get working again. Hopeless. Small Percies deserve better, tbh, but I've never found a quality version.

Always keep the clip... it's the best part of those fans... and have many uses!

Oh, absolutely - you mentioned this to me months ago and it's spot on advice. Definitely do not throw away the clip. It's so easy to adapt on to an Argos oscillator. You've just gotta get in the mindset of knowing that shit will break in an intense environment like an always-on tent...get spares and solutions lined up safe in the knowledge that it's a feck load cheaper (and better) than paying £10 a g.
