Never looked at them Guardo mate. It will be a while before I change anything drastically as technology moves very fast in all areas of cannabis growing.

My experimentation with HPS/led/CMH combinations give me enough to play around with and it isn't costing to much money.

I always see that, you need wall watts to compete with output. The commercial growers in Canada are mainly using led tec and there are many articles on performance vs hydro saving. If im burning the same watts to complete a grow, led would not be a savings. Led is the way of the future. I have grown both ways, and my outside climate dictates the best system to use for my indoor grows.
Or thats my excuse every time i try a new light.
Most of the new boards are software controllable for spectrum output thru different stages of the grow.

This time wondering if you guys can tell me what to expect now I've switched to a 300w LED over a 600w HPS... I'm using a 1.2m tent so I am sure there is enough light in there despite the wattage decrease. But I'm wondering if the investment will be worth it.

Already the environment is a million times easier to control but how does it affect the growth in the plant and the overall yields compared to growing with hps? Do I need to supplement with any extra nutrients for optimal growth? What's the difference between hps and LED where the plant itself is concerned?

    Cheers
Expect a big loss in yield and bud density

I wonder if hundreds of years ago, if our ancestral cannabis growers had the same debate over candles or oil lamps?

You don't have to go too far back to find ancestral cannabis growers.

    tech certainly does move fast

We are testing our mark 3 boards at the moment and according to our sphere tests on our prototypes they produce 50% more umols/j than a 1000W Gavita and 45% more than a decent CMH

    My 400 kills my 600
By alot... Hps i get 1.2gpw my led 1.8-2gpw but o also built it and spent a good £700 on 1 light..
But it pays off as in my big room ive 6 x400w leds and its ripping zips out allover

    Somuch better to control

But ive had atleast 10 versions of leda that suck
Mars = bollox it grows but u need more watts to get same result
Grow northern - they grow decent.. But still at 0.9gpw its not there yet
Usa cob cxb timbers are amazing but price is killer they can 2gpw but are small wattage so diy comes next

You need cxb 3590 100watt chips running at 40-50watt
Minimum to get any decent from led

Might i add i grow buds fat as 2l bottles under led and no spacial gaps my main cola was 3oz in 1 bud on my xmas dawgs i dont see stalks often

Fantastic share mate. Clearly an experienced grower to get those returns from each type of light. It just goes to show the how led is moving forward all the time. I dont think you will mind me saying those cree 3590s are 2014/15 vintage so the likes of illuminus cobs ( aka Migro) and lighting from some of our sponsors are ever bigger bang for you buck hitters.
