Default Going from HPS to LED

    Yes, another post

This time wondering if you guys can tell me what to expect now I've switched to a 300w LED over a 600w HPS... I'm using a 1.2m tent so I am sure there is enough light in there despite the wattage decrease. But I'm wondering if the investment will be worth it.

Already the environment is a million times easier to control but how does it affect the growth in the plant and the overall yields compared to growing with hps? Do I need to supplement with any extra nutrients for optimal growth? What's the difference between hps and LED where the plant itself is concerned?

    Cheers

The hps vs LED argument seems to be bought up nearly daily in the forum so the infos all available. Search gardros latest posts and you'll prob find one.

    What light is it exactly...

Argee with the lads we need more information. Im pro led but I think youll be disappointed if a 300w light is replacing a 600w.

Your losing about 470W of light with that transfer. JMO

I am afraid you will be more than a little dissapointed get another 2 x 300w led's if you want to have a similar yield to your 600w hps. You will still only be pulling about 400w from the wall. and will have less heat than a 600w HPS.

I've never fully flowered under led just used them as supplementary lighting to HPS.

I have some week old seedlings under a 450w led noe 18" high.

Think you should just stick with the 600w.

Have you measured how many actual watts your light pulls?

Need to know what lights we are comparing.

If it's latest stuff, 400 wall watts produce more flower than 600 hps
