Default Anyone tried NPK Raw Silica powder

Just looked at my bottle of Shogun Silica and it contains 1.6% silicon dioxide and puts the PH through the roof. Am I missing something, is this to good to be true?

RAW Silica contains 45% silicon dioxide which is the highest concentration of silicon dioxide available to the home gardener. RAW Silica is flowable and suspendible in water and naturally available to the plant. Since RAW Silica is a natural form of silicon dioxide, it is pH neutral and does not cloud when added to water. RAW Silica can be used during all stages of growth and bloom for optimal stem and cell wall strength. It is a beneficial supplement to all feeding schedules. A 2 oz package of RAW Silica makes up to 200 gallons, an 8 oz package makes up to 800 gallons, and a 2 lb package makes up to 3200 gallons.

TO GROW A PLANT YOU NEED TO THINK LIKE A PLANT

natural silicon dioxide vs synthetic/chemical silicon,
Raw/Shogun, some are better suited for hydro/coco/soil etc

So is the natural in RAW better and more suited to hydro rthan the synthetic in Shogun

Im reliably informed silicic acid is the best form of silicon for a plant. Its transferable so its improves all aspects of growth.

The other silicons only end up in the stem as they molecules are still far too big.

Buddahs Tree solar green for example. Blue and Joker recommended.

On the Shogun website it says "Unbeatable industry dilution rate for a silicon product" and it contains 1.6% Si

General Hydroponics Armor si contains 10% Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) so Shogun seems to be telling fibs if it is the same.

Perhaps its a similar product. Im no chemist but its silicic acid that is the difference. Not sure if its same as Silicon oxide.

I know that the BT doesnt mess with pH / i cant use as pH up like that Growth Tech horrible stuff

    You mean this?

I've never used it lol. Sorry couldn't help myself.

I stupidly bought mine ages ago thinking I could use it in soil. I may get to open it in the near future though. I've also got the omina and cal mag.

Mmm may give it a try, I was going to drop silicon due to PH fluctuations in RDWC. I think when the plants consume a very alkaline Silica the PH in the res then drops like a stone.

I'm having a full change of my nutrients but trying to think about what and why I am feeding instead of jumping in and regretting it.
