Default 20-40% amber trichomes - do I skip the flush?

    Hi guys,

So I checked my girl after maybe 4 days yesterday, and noticed little amber heads on the trichomes (maybe 20-40%). I thought I was in the clear as I have still been seeing clear trichomes, with some turning a bit cloudy.

I still want to flush the plant, so I have gone and trimmed all of the fan leaves and started flushing 3 times a day to try and reduce the carbohydrates in the plant overall and see if I can speed up the process.

My question is, should I skip the flush altogether now that there are amber trichomes and go straight to harvest? It's my first grow so I've approached it from the outset knowing that I'll be getting some things wrong but still want it to be as good as possible. Will it be better if I flush it and let the trichomes go further to amber, or will it be better if I just harvest it straight away and deal with a bit harsher smoke?

    Thanks guys, much appreciated

I've had to skip half a flush a couple times due to grot and also for the same issue you're having.
Since it was only my 1st grow I can't say how much smoother it would have been, but TBH it still kicked the shit out of most if not all of the street weed I've had so for what it's worth I'd chop. Just make sure you're not looking at trichs on the sugar leaves rather than buds as they amber up faster usually. Same goes for any buds you may have pinched or damaged. Check a few levels of the colas too.

If its organic then you dont need to flush.

What ever you do, do it quick. I see spidermite marks on the leaves. They will destroy your crop pretty quick of I'm correct.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses. She was an organic grow, so I have just now gone and harvested and she is now hanging to dry. From what I can tell she's fairly ok, just a bit of white mould on one of the lower colas which I have got rid of. I'll be back I a couple weeks with a smoke report
