How much oil can be made at that strength if I grew a purely CBD plant and harvested an ounce of bud along with all the trimmings?
Currently it's costing a fair bit to keep restocking the oil.
right mate 300mg is just under 1/3 of a gram so hardly any cbd in it,if you turned an oz of cbd rich weed into oil you will get approx 3000mg that equals 3gram per oz of weed,if you need anymore info let me know.
    It's nice to be nice.

Currently growing a stress killer cbd. She should be flowering any day now so I'll def revisit and revive this thread again in a couple months time. After the stress killer I'll order new seeds and rethink the strain/percentages.

Thanks for the info and advice. Finally got my head around how to measure what you've made to a degree. Hard to know the right dosage to give a dog as they can't tell u how they feel lol. Atm I give her about 12mg a day but it seems so little. Looking forward to having my own sustainable supply as like you said, it's not cheap to buy. Plus my wife loves it since she managed to shrink and vanish a wart with the stuff lol. He was sooooo happy about that that she complained about me only growing 2 plants at a time even though that was my compromise for her to allow me my hobby lol

Hi guys following your post great info I'm bit confused about how many grams of bud to ml of oil you get

So let's assume I use 28grams of bud
How much oil could I expect to harvest

Thinking of using 98 percent proof alcohol
    To wash oil from bud
Then evaporating the alcohol to leave the oil

I don't want to use too little bud as its a long process to end up with just a drip of oil in the pan to try and retrieve such a small amount is hard work

if it’s good bud then you should expect 4g/mls of oil from an Oz of bud.

I read you can expect about 13 percent off your dry weight so for an oz that works out to 3.64g (3640mg) of oil. Currently buying 500mg in 15ml bottles of coconut oil so I should be able to get 6 or 7 bottles per oz i think.

Happy days, you should use the butane method,it’s a lot quicker, easier, there is much less smell and you will end up with shatter that is much cleaner than alcohol made oil,you can just melt the shatter into your carrier oil.Click image for larger version.

We have had great experience with Purple Orange from Dinafem.

Seedsman's CBD Cream & Cheese seems to be at a very high percentage and so is Garden of Green's Ed Rosenthal Super Critical Bud.

Have a look in their section for grow diaries. I think it was CityDweller who had a humongous Cream & Cheese plant.

Seedsman's CBD Sweet & Sour Widow which is a regular. So potentially you can have your own seeds in a generation and pretty much be self sufficient.

How do you plan on getting the CBD into the oil?

You know how I do mine, right? Bud plus coconut oil in a milk pan over the hob on the lowest setting, for 45-60 mins until the bubbles (the decarb) slow down. Strain with tea strainer then bottle up.
Just about to harvest a solomatic cbd plant. Expecting a few oz off her and have coconut oil on standby. So glad I have your calculations to refer back to. Should have double the cbd % of the previous stress killer cbd so just need to double attach the figures
