Sunflower Comp 2019

Hey up talkers. I'm not sure if I'm putting this in the rite place?
Anyways Anyone up for a little fun and growing some sunflowers with me? Me and the lad put 3 seeds in paper towel last night. Just a bit of fun or a comp I would be willing to supply the beans for the winners if admin could help out there?(I've had my fair share of wins from the talk recently and id like to return the favour)
The seeds I've bought aren't the huge ones they only get to around 1,5meters (herlequin f1 hybrids) . I may get some bigger ones I'm planning on sewing 3 seeds every week for the next few weeks so I've got a constant bloom over the summer.
If anyone is up for a bit of fun get involved.

Hey bud. I don't mind at all mate if it's your baby that's cool. I am. More than willing to donate some seeds to the pot which ever way mate. How do U do it tallest or biggest or what?

No worries mukka, You can look after the baby this year. It's always nice to see members enthusiastic and willing to get involved The protocol is grow your sunflowers with some pics along the way...At the end of the season or closing date post your best pic and it goes to a public vote in a separate thread...I'll be happy to set up the poll for you at the end if your unsure how to do it...I'll change this thread title to sunflower comp 2019 and you can run the comp in this thread

Sweet sounds good. It's good to give something back mate. I'm gonna have to have a read up on them now haha. Ill let u sort the poll out at the end if that's cool. I'll have a read and get some dates sorted out and get a post up ASAP. Nice one bud.

OK guys,
So the sunflower comp for this year will be run by me.
I'm not sure how it's been run before but here goes.
Anyone can enter and will run from now until September 14th (for the late bloomers). Its all for a bit of fun really, but there will be prizes for the tallest plant, and for the biggest flower.
Prizes will be seeds (TBA).
Your plants can be grown in any way you like indoors or outdoors from seed (any seeds u wish) . If you can grow the tallest plant indoors you get an extra prize . You can post all your methods and progress pics here. And then final entry pics at the end.
So come on talkers I'm hoping for some huge plants. But more than anything i hope to see some sun, I'm in Wales. Hahaha.
