    Default R-dwc reservoir

    Right hi everyone,
Not been on here for a good while, having my bathroom refitted so no grow on... Proper bummer.
Anywho, been contemplating hydroponics after growing in Coco.
Got a grip on the basics and I already do the PH and PPM so that's pretty standard.
My real question is how often do you drain a reservoir and replace with fresh water?
    And is RO really needed?

I start plants in a small system, when transferring to my rdwc system, i tend to do 3 rez changes, i start with my grow formula, i change my rez a couple weeks after flip to an aggressive bloom formula. And as the stretch stops i use a mild bloom formula, to finish the grow.
I typically have about 80l for a 4 plant system.
RO water is more dependant on your local water quality, but many grows are done with tap water.

I’ll change the res once or twice in veg depending how long but in flower once a week.
I wouldn’t use RO water if I could help it, what’s your background ec? Providing it’s not mad high just use the tap water mate.

I prefer RO, as I know exactly where I am with my res. But wouldn’t say necessary.

I always do a flush between veg and flower but then I just do as required, I’ve done one in 6 weeks (so far) But I do have 170 litres of water in the system.
