    Default After Life - Gervais

I've just finished watching this series for the second time. The first watch blew me away and the second was even better.

Life-affirming, ironically, and brilliantly acted on every level.

I went to see his stand-up show, Humanity, live, which was amazing (even for a poodle owner like me) but I think After Life edges even that...his relationship with the drug dealer and the prostit...sex worker...is so good.

    Anyone else seen it?

I watched it over the last week or so. Enjoyed it, funny and sad a bit like Derek.

Oh, and isn't it sad? Nobody does plaintive like Gervais. It's very old-fashioned in many ways but it makes for amazing TV.

I think the series of stand ups through Animals, Politics, Fame, Science, Humanity has been some of the most technically brilliant comedy I've ever seen.

But I also love Norm McDonald.

Fuck me, that's a leap, innit?

"I liked After Life on Netflix and I liked the Ted Bundy series on the same platform, too", you mean?

Watched it and thought it deserved a second viewing atleast. Still a bit traumatised about the whole junkie thing though
