I think I've got a couple dud seeds

I soaked a couple Damnesia Haze Auto seeds in water until they sunk to the bottom and then transplanted them into wet paper towel in a tin that's in a warm place, It's been 3 days now and they haven't even cracked open. I've got a couple other seeds in there that I put in yesterday and they have opened already.

My question is how long should I give the Haze seeds before I can call them duds and chuck em? fingers crossed I don't have to bin them though.

A lot depends on age of seeds...if they are older the shell is tougher and takes a bit longer...how long before they sunk ?

I normally give seeds around a week before giving up on them...

They sunk to the bottom of after around 18 hours.

If they don't crack after 4 or 5 days i gently scrape them at the seam with a very sharp sterile blade. My max has been about 14 days and still popped.

I too have a mate called Stanley ...if they sunk quickly, its a good sign, it means they have taken in enough water to pop...
