    Default Nutrients are killing me

Is there a cheaper way? I use the 3 part system. Using boost and canna is killing me. I feel like the nutrient mafia is getting too much of my hard work every month. Honestly it’s not fair when they get a big cut. The way I picture it is they are smoking cohiba’s while counting the loot

How much are you using if you are complaining on the price?

Used Boost for years. Stopped using and never noticed any difference.

I have finally given in and listened to experts on the talk and other sites.

I have dumped all additives/supplements apart from cal/mag and Hydroguard as I am in RDWC and have very soft water from the tap (zero to 0.2ec) I am now finally getting over a gram per watt of rock hard bud.

No boosters, root stimulants, PK, nothing just General Hydroponics 3 part basic feed. Start adding stuff and you just knock everything out of kilter.

In RDWC I keep the feed ec low and keep on top of PH, keep on top of PH then keep on top of PH some more.

Drop the canna boost for a start ,and replace it with pk13/14 ...but as others have said it should not cost a small fortune if you fall within thc talk rules imho

A few years ago on a different forum, some guy was bragging about his use of Chempak nutes.

Practically the entire forum dogpiled the guy, and the tit for tat back and forth just descended into a mud sling-fest.

I have also used Chempak stuff on other plants, so I know that Chempak Guy was not entirely talking BS. The sentiment in that thread was however something that has really stuck with me.

At this point I have only ever used Vitalink A&B, which has not been "better" in any perceiveable way. A heap of Advanced Nutrients additives "samples" from eBay, again, nothing spactacular, besides Rhino Skin and Sensizyme. Everything else has been generic stuff that can be bought at garden centres, supermarkets, pound shops.

So if the OP is working with a very minimal budget, there are ways around the situation.

Canna a and b are cheap enough, and you use so little cal mag, PK and silicone per litre that that's cheap too. Canna boost I stopped buying and have changed too many other variables to say it hasnt made a difference, but it hasnt been missed either.

I only buy higly concentrated nutrients, Flora nova bloom and Greenhouse seeds powder nutrient, work great, cheap and last forever

Edit: Used to buy HESI when i was starting out, Hesi is is low concentrated and expensive, One watering need 50ml of one part and additional 25ml of another part which is insane
