Default Bit of help with sprouting autos please or photos if it's the same way cheers

Hi i'm just after some advice for when i start my seeds please, i have read all over the internet and on this site and there is that many different ways to do it,
the easiest for me i think would be to drop the seeds straight into the root nurse fabric pots

so these are the steps i've figured so far and need help with thanks

soak the seed first for a few hours in water that has been left out for 24 hours
does it matter if the ph of the water is 6.5 i'm thinking not but unsure, where do i leave the glass for a few hours in a dark or light place and at what temp

poke a hole 1/2 inch in soil, drop some water into hole

    drop seed in horizontal

Cover with a fine layer of soil and add again a very small amount of water (10 ml)

do i then switch my lights on or do i wait till i see the seedling

and what temps should my growdrobe be in through the different stages of growth

    thanks for any help

You are seriously over thinking things!

If I was going to sew straight into soil this is what I would do....

Water pots, make hole for seed (no more than about 5mm deep) Put in seed (ignoring the orientation) & wait for it to pop through the soil before putting my lights on

    Temps? I don't vary them....

I agree you are overthinking, I did the same during my first grow, what works for me is germination by wet paper towel in a dark space, once sprouted into soil with spray bottle to water. It will grow don't focus on minute details unless you're a geneticist creating the umbrella virus

My method of germinating seeds is fill a cup 1/4 with tap water, drop the seeds in and poke them every few hours and as soon as they sink transfer them into moist paper towel in a plastic chinese take away box and leave it somewhere warm like on top of the pc. Once the tap root is about 1cm long I put them in soil.

Yup i'm quite sure that's what M.C means brother, i personally do the damp paper towel method in a one of those plastic tubs you would get kebab salad in seal it up wrap in a black or dark cloth and place on my shy box for a bit of gentle bottom heat, i've done dozens of seeds this way and every single one had sprouted, soon as the tap root is 5 to 10mm i pop them tap root down in a pre made hole so as the seed shell itself is around 5mm below the soil, all the best matey, G'.

Yeah, just drop in in and don't even bother to look which way it falls, it's not important!
