Definitely think youre onto something there. An overfed organic grow would taste off in my opinion.

Depends on your plant stages (veg or flowering); nutrient lockout - overfeeding plants or improper pH levels - this results in a build-up of nutes in the soild where plants cannot access them, a flush is required here; finally you should do a flush before harvest.
Well today I've done a little testing
I've been growing in organic batmix, using organic biobizz bottles, no mineral salts at all.
As I've come from previous Coco, hydro and regular soil grows in the past, the concept of not flushing in organics, although it makes perfect scientific sense, still frightened me. Last thing I wanted is to spend months growing my plants, to have unsmokable bud at the end of it all.
As 2 plants are due to come down, I thought I would do a plain water only regimen for the past week. On the watering, I snipped a lower popcorn branch and dried. This bud was not fed plain water prior to snipping, so if anything should be a good example of what the weed will be like with no flushing.
I've dried and rolled it up today.
Nice grey ash, no sizzling, no harshness, much like my Coco grows after a weeks flushing has occured.
From this I think flushing in an organic soil grow is now unnecessary, so the remaining plants will be fed their nutes in the final week to try get every bit of size onto them I can
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.
Also this bud has been dried over 3 days, no curing obv. It still smelled pretty much like it does on the plant, fruity. Tasted nice too, so a proper dry and cure will no doubt improve the quality further
Not sure if you saw this post Prime - Clicky
But according to this study ;
It seems that flushing does not (significantly) remove any of the fundamental nutrients initially perceived to be flushing ( Nitrogen, Sulphur, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium )
However, it is also found that using water only for the last 2 weeks has no impact on yield, thus saving money on 'fertilizer'.
