Default Invisible Sun ISH250 vs ISH265 Pro?

With warmer weather coming I'm looking at investing in an IS led set up so I can hopefully still grow in my loft through the summer.
What are the differences between these two kits apart from the price? Specs look very similar so I'm a bit perplexed, they also have the 250 on sale on their website which is tempting.

Also, in the future I'll probably upgrade and add another so I have to take that into account.
I'm currently using 600w hps at the minute but I'm willing to take a sort term hit on wattage so I can keep growing

    Yours confused.

Both produce same amount of light but the pro version does it 5% more efficiently.

The ELG drivers that come now with the pro boards are around 5% less efficient than the previous drivers however.

So six and half a dozen and that

Thanks mate, looks like a no brainer then.
What would you say is the best expandable set up? Ie does the driver with the 250 kit allow another panel to be piggy backed to it or could I buy say 2 x 135 panels with a driver and then add another 135 down the line?
Sorry, awful newb questions but I don't want to have to buy twice lol. I'm capable of building one from scratch btw if that's another option which could save pennies

Just go for 2x250 kits and it will give you yield of 750w+ hps mate.

Expandable in terms of just adding more kits. The driver is maxed out already

Made me laugh when you said watts will take a hit. They will, but in a good electricity bill sort of sense lol

Optimum groom size is 4x4ft for 500w.

3500K gives off highest par in 250w kits but 3000k is equally good

Hi mate, I need to pick your brain again if you don't mind.
The 240 diy kit says it doesn't have heatsinks, does this make it cooler when in the grow room? I'm guessing the heatsink is mounted on the light rig rather than on the driver.
It's all about reducing the heat for me, I'll hopefully be mounting the driver outside the room as well.

Those kits are made from lower power density boards so they dont get as hot.

A watt is a watt though Beezerk so the 240w will give off almost same heat as 250 or 265w

Id always feel better having a heatsink just in case.

    Awesome thanks for the info.
Hoping to order the 250 this week and add to it in a few months and go full led from then. I'm just nearing the end of my current grow with the 600w hps so I'll hopefully get them chopped before the hot weather arrives.

Well they've come up trumps. I emailed them about stock levels and they've managed to cobble me an ISH250 together which should hopefully be arriving soon.
I may get a cheap used Viparspectra or something in the short term just to add as a boost in flowering.
