    So it is more of a total failure than what most people would associate with thermal runaway?

    For each man than sits down, the remaining men get proportionally hotter.

    Once the temperature exceeds the material capability, yes it can set on fire.

    Thermal runaway is well understood risk you must mitigate out when designing the system.

    Having perfectly matched leds is the best place to start.

    Yeah just whip off the failed diode and replace.

    Unfortunately though its not that simple you wouldnt be able to add a matched led so the next weakest man would get the weight on his shoulders until hes had enough.

    OK guys thank you very much for all input and thank you very much invisible sun could someone please inbox me return addy and packing instructions ie' do I strip it down for packing or pack it as is, I don't have any of the original packing but will use plenty of bubble wrap, thank you once again guys, G'.

    Cheers brother as I've said in other posts mate I am absolutely hopeless with electric I try to steer clear of it when I can if something is gonna attack me I like to be able to see it coming cheers mate you've been invaluable.

    Unscrew the board and send the one damaged PCB back to us. We will send you a replacement on receipt.

    Wrap the board in bubble wrap and box it.
