Exactly that. If a seed is bursting out of the calyx whilst still on a budding plant, is it good to be plucked off for the next generation?

Also, do seeds take longer to mature than bud? My semi-educated guess thinks yes.

Sorry, I know this has been covered before but my search-fu is not on point tonight.

It mimics winter for the seed

I've tried before with seeds straight off the plant & had a low success rate... but 6 month later I had near on 100% success

    Gotcha, thanks!

Had one failed seed that had marbling, but the marbling rubbed off of the seed like a poor quality water slide decal.

    Gonna keep trying.

They should look & handle like shop bought seeds

    It didn't twig last night.

I was like, "yeah, stick it in the fridge... I wonder if humidity would be an issue? Need one of those hygrometers ... But those Thai S1 seeds popped and they didn't go in the fridge... huh? Now if I get the seeds then they need some 6 weeks' vegging and that would be mid June at least before I could flip... I wonder how big they will be..."

And basically blah blah blah my mind went off on her own adventure, and I missed the WEEK bit, thinking it was 24 hours.

Did you mean calyx and auto correct stepped in?

The calyx is that bulb-like structure blob where the pistils come out of. Usually in sinsemilla there is nothing in there, or something no bigger than a poppy seed; but in pollinated bud, the seed grows inside that "bulb".

M_C, when the seeds come out of the fridge, do they need to re-acclimatise? Or do I just do the usual germination routine as though they were store bought seeds?
