noob here, any 411 on tinctures?

Hi, great board. I joined last month. Never got a chance to post.

I would like to know about tinctures. Not necessarily making them
although that's not out of the realm of possibility. But what's
confounding me is I got hold of a couple bottles awhile back and
squirted lots of it, oh, say 3 or 4 times the recommended dose,
and never got a thing from them. Am I one of those for whom
tinctures do not work? I just don't care for smoke, and who can
eat that stuff and do anything for the rest of the day. I thought
if a tincture could work, I'd be in hawg heaven.

If somebody can direct me I'd be grateful. Thanks.

Hey, not tried tints for thc on CBD but did job for me, what they recommend with CBD and I guess same with thc is hold under tongue for few mins so it absorbs into your body and doesn't go straight to gut.. Have you tried vaping totally different to smoking and better taste (Depending on type of gadget used) or popping some bud into a bottle of say alcohol and letting sit for few weeks but that's basically tintures as well, if in states you can get ever clear as the base.
