Typically it takes 48 hours brewing in a good brewer to achieve desired microbe populations, 72 if we are looking to breed protozoa.
However,
Mr Tim Wilson AKA The microbe man, has given us a little trick that he has tested and confirms takes 24 hours off of our brew time. So a brew is ready in just 24 hours....
Step 1.
Get your water for you tea out to stand 24 hours and stick 450ml worm castings in a tub..
Step 2.....
Add 3 heaped tablespoons of wheat bran
Step 3...
Stir it up
Step 4
Boil a kettle and put 1 teaspoon of mollases in a cup and then fill 3/4 with boiling water and stir...
Step 5
Top the cup up with cold water and stir this into the castings/bran until everything is moist but not soaking wet (you will see I used half the cup)
Step 6
Cover with a tea towel and when your water has stood 24 hours add this mixture to your brewer with around 300ml of mollases and brew for 24 hours.
