    Default Where are the AMBERS?!?!?!

Seems like I have had trics for weeks! Cloudy for 2 weeks. But no amber yet. I was planning on hyper couch lock effects so I need that amber color, right? No nutes for 2 weeks. 6 weeks after flip. Aurora strain. First dwc grow. Fan leaves starting to die. Thanks,
    Maters

Some strains just dont turn amber mate. It's in the genetics. Have you grown this strain before?

6 weeks after flip? Your way off the amber mark.... No nutes for 2 weeks? Keep feeding them there not done.

This strain is listed as 9-11 weeks flowering time. If you started counting at flip then figure 12-13 weeks from flip.

I hadn't read this thread until now as I thought it was about driving through Swindon.

Yah, I did not look up the strain info. I thought hydro shortens the time for the grow. I had nearly 100% milky trics for 2 weeks. I just got antsy today and chopped after week 7. (I convinced myself I saw some amber, lol.) I will let you know about the smoke after I dry for a while. After all my fumbling I finished up with a much larger crop than my previous soil tries. The roots got healthy and almost filled the bucket. This was my first grow with this strain (Aurora feminized) and my first try at hydro. The strain seemed to want to sprout flowers everywhere. Much bigger buds. I made a lot of mistakes but hydro appears to be the way to go - if I ever need to grow more.

Thanks to everyone who helped drag me up the learning curve.

Is this Aurora Indica from Gypsy Nirvana? Nice strain and does go Amber, a little couch lock but not too munchie. How is the drying coming along? From what I understand a longer cure can help with the effects from the buds but I am sure the more seasoned members out there would have more to say about that.

I don't remember the source - just the name. Buddy said Indica which wanted until I realized my dehydration was turning couch lock into couch sessions. I am hanging the plant before I trim cuz I don't know how to trim. I can't seem to get my humidity down so I might just toss it all in a paper bag for a while before I jar it. All my previous tries smoked like shit! Hopefully better this time/strain.
