im afraid that while recycling seems a noble thing, its completely meaningless whilst certain nobheads are pointing nuclear warheads at our planet and "letting them off".
often those same nobheads are funding their little games from any and all "save the planet" ideas they can fool the citz into believing.

uk recycling is a scam mostly,ex manager here of one such very large place,a metall and plastic covered industrial building housing a big fk off screen,20 labourers pulling shit off a conveyor belt for all to see,in the public area(bit where the politicians come to get their pics taken etc).....this was the qualifying part that won "them" a massive recycling payout via the EU,multiple millions into bank accounts of more political crooks etc....just another scam as usual.
what really happens is that all the shit goes in one end, into a bit you cant see ,and then some plastic is pulled out and all the rest of the shit gets loaded into containers and shipped off to china and other various landfills.

all this stuff happening in the world is why ooold people are so fucking pissed off all the time, you younguns will get it as well, you are not in control of anything,,and as youll find out waving placards and going on marches does fuck all.

if you intend to change the world its going to take a lot more than waving flags and whining, theyve got you by the bollocks and they know it,there is only one way to change shit and thatll mean you being labeled a terrorist, that means they can,and will, shoot you/imprison you/make you disapear etc, theyve already implemented the anti-terrorism laws against you

shit, cant even leave europe let alone control the worlds waste.

    moan,moan,dribble,,,fart.

You do them an injustice ggotch, I'm sure they also use an electromagnet & eddy current to separate out the easy metal

metal rarely made far as our "recycling arena" ,scrap and greenstuff, and clothes?? was removed by another firm in the open public areas, obviously there easy "cash" money in that bit.

we got the full on bin wagons full of shit and bodies etc(slight clue where i was lmao).
there were screens and magnets that pulled some ferrous stuff, guns, carparts, knives that sort of thing but lot of it was non ferrous so that was down to manual labour, not a nice job.
i saw everything loaded onto the carts/train containers etc and go to docks or scotland via rail.dunno if it still does, theyre probably a lot more secretive about it now.
i left because of racism like you couldnt believe,it was a very nasty place.

tbh i dont care that much anymore, will be dead soon, wont worry me then
elw took their licence away a few years after i left, all the crooks fell out it appears.

I had my recycling bin stolen by the early morning lead/copper thieves so I phoned the Council...The response I got was astounding...

"A replacement bin can take upto 16 weeks to arrange, in the interim just put your recycling in your normal bin"

I was gobsmacked by this...I recycle everything I can...I sort my building waste into catergories and it all goes in the corrrect place...even the asbestos

Where I live, normal wheelie bins contents are incinerated to provide heat locally and the byproduct marked for landfill...

The only way this will improve will be to remove 90% of our bins and collections and have us all return the packaging and waste to who we bought it from.

Watch how quickly innovation resolves this matter then.

There you go Tesco, you sort that lot out, for example.

only problem being that we'll do it in the uk and rest of the world will simply keep their head in the sand until they are buried there.

only way forward will be to nuke them while theyre busy looking into the sand..
