    Default Flushing in soil ?

    Hi all,
    Just wondering what the general feeling was here with flushing before harvest when growing in soil.
    Personally I don't, never have, never felt the need.... shit you grow it with whatever for so long does 1 week flush do anything other than let her eat herself ? Just a wondering !

    There is no reason to flush in soil

    If you'd like to read another thread that was created asking the same question (it's a long read), then check this one out - Clicky

    In that thread I had found some testing that was made and shared it - A Thesis presented to The University of Guelph - Clicky

    The conclusion I personally came to from that thesis was ;

    'It seems that flushing does not (significantly) remove any of the fundamental nutrients I initially perceived to be flushing ( Nitrogen, Sulphur, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium )

    However, it is also found that using water only for the last 2 weeks has no impact on yield, thus saving money on 'fertilizer''.

    Obviously, these are all opinions and make what you will of the thesis

    No need to apologise at all mate, so many threads on this forum it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, even when using the search system sometimes..and you're welcome, happy reading

    I switch to water for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Might as well let the plant feed on the leaves and I love fall colors.

    Stop feeding them 4 weeks before harvest. Makes the main leaves turn a white/lemon color. Less is better IMHO
