Getting off the fags, try and save my lungs.

Fair play mate, it's not easy, fuck me I've give up for 3 months then find me self slipping back, breaking strain of a kit-Kat me, it's the weed, the baccy I don't miss, it's the Fukin joints for me !! Need to find a vape that's good for weed that ain't a fookin tabletop shishpipe thingy

Mouth to lung is like smoking a fag, you draw it into your mouth & then transfer it to the lungs. Direct lung is like having a bong, you draw it straight to the lungs.

I started with Mouth to lung & a high PG eJuice & found that I really needed around 8% nicotine to substitute for a fag. Then I got a new eCig & I also tried higher percentage VG juices. I found myself using direct lung with this as it was so much smoother, I also only really needed a 3% nicotine ratio.

Then I got a box mod & swapped to pure VG @3% nicotine... a winner for me!

So, at this point I was on my 4th eCig & God knows how many eJuices I had tried... but I liked the strawberry/yogurt ones the most. Often I'd buy a bottle of eJuice, fill my tank, take a couple of hits & dump it - I was looking for a keeper, which I found with Strawberry Chew from Jac Vapour.

I was ready to stop smoking!

The first week I increased the nicotine from 3 to 6% (belt & braces LOL) & found stopping the fags almost bearable! I went back down to 3% when the 6% bottle was gone, again, fine Then I started decreasing the nicotine until I finally got to zero - that was about 15 month ago. I also then changed jobs so that put me in a new position as I could stop thinking about joining my friends, the smoking crowd at work. I actually stopped taking my vape to work!

I still use my vape today - still on zero nicotine but less & less so (or so my purchases of eJuice tell me LOL)

Do I still get a craving for a fag? - Yes. But it's not a nagging craving anymore

How do I deal with weed as a new non smoker? - I enjoy my weed vape... but I also like single standard rizla skin pure weed joints. I find the mini joints ease any fag cravings - But! I find the next day I tend to spend more time thinking about fags

Does the craving for a fag ever go? - I doubt it, it just becomes farther in between that you think about it

Any tips? Never stop stopping. If you fall off the wagon, get straight back on it! - and try not to replace one habit with another... I'm weaning myself off my eCig but am behind where I thought I would be at this point... but the eCig use is dwindling

You started with an objective same as me which we achieved....You must like the vaping experience because you have become or becoming a connoisseur it's like a fine wine I guess if your a drinker.....My objective/goal now is come off the vape because it feels like i've just replaced one habit with another albeit a less dangerous one, the vape has become an appendage for me and I want to prove to myself that I can do without it....Feck me Im becoming a boring fart the older I get

I remember sitting opposite you and Viz a couple of years ago in Dam. You smoked about 20 fags between you in about 2 hours. You have done very well in a short space of time matey. Gives me great encouragement to know you are this far along in 15 months.

It was that visit to Dam that I discovered packs of 40 & for the first time in many years I could say I only smoked one pack a day! But the duty frees I took home from that visit were the last fags I ever smoked...

In a way it was a shame as I loved those 40 packs, if nothing else, for the effect you got from others when you put them on the table

About 6 month after me giving up, the wife did too (which surprised me!) & she has given up her eCig now

Well said Buzz mate, thing is with age is ya reflect......ya don't do it when ya young mate, "Fucking invincible " in my twenties I went to shit loads of weddings! Now in my late 40's I go to more funerals ! As ya get older ya own mortality strikes ya, Wife, Kids, Grandkids,.....whatever ! Sometimes ya know when something needs to change! Fair play to each and all for that, be it smoking, drinking, what ever any addiction has a negative impact somewhere along the line, spottting it and controlling it is to take back power of your own life. And Amen for that.

TBH Bud, I'd have preferred to just stop. But that would never happen for me so I had to find a way that I would change - I went for flavour... after all, if I'm going to change what goes in my mouth then it should taste nice! So I flavour hunted - I also found that the VG/PG ratio could change the flavour, nicotine also

That's true M_C, Pg/vg ratios do have an impact on flavour. The higher the pg the higher the flavour but also the harsher the throat burn. More vg = bigger clouds smoother hit less taste, 70/30 seems best taste, 80/20 best compromise for me.

And you can also reduce your nicotine input and gradually get down to zero nic, = non smoker

The higher number being the VG content Bud. So 70/30 would be VG 70% & PG 30%

Often the stuff in shops is mainly PG, but when you get higher VG it all changes
