Eyup, just chopped and trimmed my last lot and I have a couple of months downtime due to work commitments.
I'm looking at a few changes to my loft grow room one of which I need to run by you lot.
I had massive heat issues when it was really warm which hurt the pants a bit, I'm going from 600w HPS to LED so that's one part of the change sorted.
My intake is a 4" inline fan which comes from another section of the loft, it's marginally cooler there than where the growing area is but still very warm on a hot day.
I'm thinking of running some ducting across to where the bathroom is, drilling a hole in the ceiling and fitting a vent so I can get my air from inside the bathroom.
The bathroom is always cooler and seems to be a reasonably stable temp throughout the year, the only drawback is it's about 4-5 metres from the grow room.
Do you think this is a viable option?
I'm also going to get a new, decent and quieter inline fan to replace the cheap one I'm currently using, which end do I fit it at, the vent or the groom?
I remember reading an inline fan is more efficient either pulling or pushing air but I can't remember which
