    Default Tower fan

Bought a couple monkey fans that oscillate which give perfect circulation. But after 4ish weeks theyre noisy as fuck

I know a fair few people use tower fans hung sideways so im looking to do that. Does anyone know which tower fans move the fins to oscillate the air as opposed to rotating on the base?

Good question. The base moves on mine so there is no oscillation.

Had this problem too mate I ended up gluing a bolt onto the top of mine so it can rotate inside a washer and a jubilee clip round the base side to hold it solid and that causes the fan to oscillate. See if I can dig a pic out man.

Left hand side of the tower is the bolt and you can just see the jubilee on the right round the base.

Quick question why do you need the tower fan to oscillate when hanging horizontal?

I've found if the fan constantly blows on the plant it can cause wind burn to leaves mate. It seems to help alot more with moving stale air around to I've found.

I've always had trouble with oscillating fans and have probably brought over 20 in my time growing and I'd never buy a traditional one again. I've been running a fan similar to these for nearly two years.
It's still working fine there's no movement in the blade/bearings and it's still as quite as the day my wife got it me .
Does the same job if not better than a standard oscillating fan

Oh i see i do not use the tower fan for moving the plants so much more to push the heat away generated from directly under the light but that is using a hps.
