Default THCTalk Mug Challenge - 2019

In association with BB & M_C we proudly bring you the 2019 THCTalk Mug Challenge

Starting 1st June 2019 & lasting for 16 weeks (the finish date is 21/09/19) - or until every one is finished - which ever comes soonest!

The aim? - To grow the best plant that you can in a standard coffee mug (The standard size seems to be 330ml so don't take the piss!)

The prize? - Still to be arranged but we're sure you'll like it

Auto & photo seeds are fine, clones too, should you wish!

Your mugs can have drainage holes drilled if you require.

No automated watering systems of any kind are acceptable, hand watering only!

Soil or coco is fine - no hydro set ups (of any description) will be accepted as entries.

Please start your grow with a picture of everything, the seed, the mug & medium & please list your nutes (if known)

Ok Exo Auto from greenhouses seeds in the drink and is on the way up to the airing cupboard. It will sit there around 8 to 10 hours or until its sank amd then into the cup.

The cup will be filled with soil directly from my living soil beds and I will aim to use water, kelp teas, compos teas and other organic methods for aslong as I can

    Mon the comp

Seedsman Alaskan Purple Auto taking the dunk.

Soil is bad out of the bag. 7.6 PH. Amended with almost everything possible. 2 cover crops grown in 38 liters. 50% that cooked mix and 50% additional aeration.

I will dig a center tunnel and top cover with peat seedling mix.

When nutes run out I will switch to mineral feed by botanicare.

Nothing is going into this mug that is not 5.8-6.2 PH

Good luck growers! May the force be with you all!

The soil is Malibu Compost biodynamic potting soil. Amazing stuff that I have had a very good run with. Last two bags the plants are having PH issues. I have a half a bag left and its 7.6 out of the bag. Fully amending and cooking and growing a round or two of cover crops does appear to fix the PH. I really hope my PH test was accurate. I believe I got it to 6.4.

Yeah I remember you saying your last one was off too, let's just hope it's a temporary issue with the latest batch and it will be back on track.

Going to get myself two PH pens (sold my last one a year back)..just to be on the safe side..really is such an important factor!
