    Default Aphids

My apple tree is absolutely infested with the little blighters. Have sprayed with dr Schimmel and white wine vinegar/soap mix. All to no avail. The bloody ants are helping them out too. Any ideas?

If ya really wanna make a difference I suggest a lacewing "Hotel" in the tree as well mate

Biological control agents are the future of organic pest management plus lacewing are like Bees sadly and are badly in need of help so you will be supporting the planet too... Win win

I wouldn't bother with the lacewings before you got the ants sorted out, the ants are farming the aphids for the honeydew they produce and will fight and kill anything that gets close to their precious aphids.

Spot on Cleargreen!..the ants will continue to bring the aphids back, so sorting them out should be first focus

They even did it on my precious roses this year, bringing hundreds of aphids and farming them (they eat their faeces) lol.
