Al try that at a later date.....av took a whiff round about 4 or 5pm. Couldn't smell the neighbours dinner lol.
I have read they can be connected....last thing a want is to blow hot air into downstairs flat.

If the vent leads up to a chimney, I think it will be shared, that's how my gaff is

To be fair I vent straight into my loft so I will be first to know if the CF has a problem.

A vented into my bedroom from my drobe ages ago. Ended up with allsorts of damp where the ducting stopped. Had to get the rubber gloves n dettol out.
Ended up cutting a hole in the ceiling n going into the loft.

I've read a few people on here say they just heat the house up with extracted air from groom....but how do you stop the damp and mold kicking in.
I was getting it from only 4"fan n duct n only the heat from a 250w hps.

Sorry for the questions m8....but how long have you been doing it this way? No sign of any damp or mold?

I guess it would depend on the property and how good the central heating is.

Mines set to always be 18c in the house and when temps get up my bedroom window is always open to keep air flow in the house. The loft is pretty aerated coz of the eaves so that covers the extracted air and the loft is well insulated from the house and the duct dumps right into the eaves.

I think mold as a rule is poor airflow and big swings in heating/temperature.. I think?? If you are keeping condensation off your windows ect then the groom shouldnt cause a problem. If there's damp and mould in the windows ect then thats gonna be a sign of potential problems imo
