    Default First grow

Looks like a pretty friendly place. 8 weeks ago I germinated 4 seeds. Today all 4 have grown into nice full looking bushes just shy of 30 inches. I'm using planters outdoors with a basic plant soil with no additives. I'm using a concentrated "fish fertilizer" once a week and a hand full of worm castings on the top of the soil. I did trim a few fan leaves to allow more sun light and breeze to flow.
This is my first grow. I purchased the "The Cannibus grow Bible". When I Google information on growing, it's tuff to Wade through a lot of conflicting info.
I believe I've got the beginning of buds on one of my plants but not sure.

Were the seeds feminized? At eight weeks you should be able to tell the sex of the plants, but i wouldn't say "beginning of buds". Take a magnifying glass and look at the nodes about 8-10 up. See any white hairs? Or something else?

Yes, the seeds were feminized. If the "node" is the Intersection of leaf to stem. Then yes, I do detect hair like things.
    What does that indicate?

Congratulations on the first grow. My first grow, 9 years ago, I asked that exact same question
When you do things right, people wont be sure you've done anything at all.

Now with the plants in the flowering mode, do I change the way or type of fertilizer?

Flowering will start with two white, fuzzy hairs that make a "V". Those are the pistils that collect pollen. It's kind of early for plants to be going into flowering, with the longest day in the North just a week or two away. Usually flowering waits until August, at least around here in the States. If it IS flowering, you should probably switch to a fertilizer made for flowering or blooming. They usually have less Nitrogen and more of the other 2 main nutrients. Don't go too heavy with nutrients as it will cause all kinds of issues that will drive you crazy.
Good Luck!! Enjoy your new "Hobby"!
