    Default Ready For Harvest?

Hey folks, this kind of thread probably gets posted often so I'll keep it short.
I've got a Royal Haze and G13 Haze, first grow. I've posted images, do the buds look ready to you? I have a microscope but it's super cheap and crappy and I cant see very well but from samples I've taken I've seen clear, opaque AND amber trichomes all on a single sample.
This was my first grow and I didnt record when i switched to flower like a dumbass BUT I did record that on the 14th May I JUST started noticing pistils turning brown. That's just 36 days from today. Currently, it looks like 90% of the pistils have browned. I'm just so confused because this all seems to be happening too quickly and I'm worried I may harvest too soon.
    Thanks in advance

Oh these ladies look very nice indeed begone_thought, great job ..it's very tricky to say whether she's ready or not from the pics and I'm not going to attempt a guess, wait around for some more opinions from members

Thanks for the compliments Ice, Italian difficult to know how well I grew them what with not having real life experience to compare to but I definitely think, especially for a first grow, that things went well, I'm super happy and really proud and it's so satisfying seeing my babies grow up to be so strong and healthy heh

Beautiful first grow. How are the middle and lower buds looking? I like to let the tops get well done so that the middle and lowers have time to improve. If you want some smoke now there is nothing wrong with cutting off a few tops to start drying now in a box while you wait for the plants to finish.

If you have the space a staggered harvest is the best option. You harvest all the ripe tops and then give the rest 2 or 3 more weeks to properly finish. This improves yields and overall quality.

By harvesting the ripe tops and waiting for the rest do you mean cutting off the cola off the plant and leave the lower half of the plant with underdeveloped buds to ripen for a bit more?

I've got a auto at the moment and the main cola has been ready for the chop for a while and the lower buds are nowhere near ready.

Exactly. You can remove ripe colas or ripe buds for drying while leaving the rest to finish.

I'm going to try this on one of the plants. It's a very dense bush with many bids inside not getting much light, perhaps this will open it up for them to get some light. I'll keep the thread posted as to how it goes!
