This has just gone up as I've added a 400w MH to the mix, 2nd stage veg tent...so now 1.8kw, maybe £175

Ours was 61 quid DD, we are usually quite highly in credit, withdrew 150 smackers couple of months ago from the account. Just started a grow with 2 600w leds, tower fan, extractor and just put a 1500w heater in tonight instead of my tube heaters. See what the hit is next month as we are quite good on power saving usually, got led warm light through out the house, changed to an induction hob and we have solar panels.

My 400w hps usually runs me up about £5 a day and I’ve noticed the savings using the IS qbs. Gone down to roughly £2.50 a day for the whole house, love the summer... save on fuckin heating lol

My dilemma/paranoia is I'm on a keycard for my flat, I know most of my neighbours spend roughly £20-£30 a week on electricity. My little babies cost me £8 a day to run

4 X lumii 630w CDM lights on 18/6 (plus fans etc @.14p per unit) works out around £8

I like to have different strains on the go and prefer to have one plant per light, don't always have all 4 going at once but some points of the year it's easier, I do autos so I can have a stress free room

I pay for my electric as it's not worth getting caught stealing it but wondering if any eyebrows are being raised by the energy company when I'm buying £100 at a time on my key card?

I pay 5.6cents Canadian per kw on low volume . And 8.0cent on high volume . So everything os timed and running on low volume 90% of the time

Cost of electricity here is ridiculous. AU$0.42 per kwh (US$ 0.29 per kwh - EURO 0.252 per kwh)

8 cents would be a dream I'm looking into solar panels now.

But surely there is a limit to how much a flat can pull before it raises suspicion and they are obligated to report it as suspicious?

There probably is a limit dude, however I doubt they are under any obligation to point this out unless requested to do so by somebody with justification (probably even more so since the new data protection legislation). Not paying your bill is a sure fire way to make them keen to do so! As others have pointed out, if you are all paid up, why would they, it is not in their interest.

In my opinion if the 5-0 were collecting evidence against you then sure the electric company would probably give them the information. However I would suspect they would have to be on to you from some other avenue to have reason to request that information.

Can you imagine if they made a freedom of information request for all those properties that are using an exceptional amount of energy. Then sifting through all that data and investigating each one.... Pretty sure the police have better things to do and the ones they are looking for would probably be bypassing this anyway. They would end up busting every student house that is all bills included and don't give a crap about energy (probably find some poor students attempts though lol).

As an aside, can you get rid of the key card and get a normal bill?
