I’ve just had a smart meter installed month back and my grow uses 10p an hour at 400w and 12p an hour 600w (that includes all my household background stuff as well like fridge and things on standby).

That’s 6” exhaust fan, 4” in-line fan, two desk fans and a hps light.

My gas and electric used to be about £50 a month living on my own but it’s now £85

With the amount your saving in electric how many grows do you recon it will take to cover the cost of your LED light?

Lol its a way to pay electricity in the UK mate.

You take ya key to the shop, top it up with cash then pop it back in the meter. Had one for a week or 2 here before we got it replaced for a standard meter

Its like pay-as-you-go. It turns out to be more expensive than being billed quarterly etc but i refuse to get a smart meter installed.
