It is lethal stuff, I knocked the bottle over on the bathroom floor before and it didn't stain but the texture of the floor feels different. It did stain the metal carpet strip tho

Ouch dropping it on anything but hands must be excruciating, hands being bad enough. Not got it out yet I am sure I will try all sorts before admitting defeat. I have been sat with a sander thinking do I.... I would have no worktop left

Ph down is caustic. Best not get it on skin!
Chemical burns will not polish out. They will react till neutral. Unfortunately, the damage is done.
Using anything glass is the best way to catch acid.

they do! n i warned her, dopy eejit! she was sat crossed legged pn tge floor bottle on her right mixing jar on her left! crossed over with the pippette n it dribbled out! just wiped it off n carried on watering (since found out we didnt need to ph our fecking water!) then went back to bed! was only the hot itchy that woke her up 10 mins later!!
now use it for sterilising my jars!

Ph down(acid) use baking soda to neutralize .
Ph up (alkaline) use vinegar to neutralize .
