    Default wick soil grow?

using just pro mix organic soil and fertilizer. i checked their fertilizers and the labels have the word organic with the same font, but some say organic 'based' and those are the more powerful liquid fertilizers. the only ones that just say organic are the only ones that are also omri certified as is the soil mix i use (organic moisture mix for now but will try herb and veg mix next also omri cert)

also use kelpman kelp juice from bc which i will water with some times. i will be just pouring the water into the reservoirs below the pots and let the polypropylene webbing(white strips) wick it up through the fabric pots and also i use a mulch disc cut from reflectix from home depot to slow the evaporation, so far i have checked under the mulches almost a week after transplanting and the soil is all the same, lightly damp with a dry ring around the outside edge, so, perfect so far i hope. otherwise will add more webbing strips or try to cut a disc out of capillary matting if it comes to it

the plants were all root bound in 2/3's full 1 gallon fabric pots, so i just put them multiple plants to a pot but once i pick a mother and start growing regularly it will be just one plant per 7 gallon pot so to keep within the law. and hey, the only hydroponics shop in town has no less than 10 feet of counter/glass space with high potency seedbank seeds all at premium prices which is highly illegal so just sayin'

the clone is supposedly rockstar which came from good weed and was started almost two months earlier. the others are all nirvana papaya except for one free hash passion from canuk seeds. the pics are june 28th after transplant and july 4th today, six days later. i chopped the one papaya when i was sure it was male, so in the pic from today there is one fewer plant keep in mind

the only other male is a sativa pheno of papaya(P7). where all the other plants smelled 1-3 out of 10, this one smelled 10 out of 10, and it is a male : ) save for rockstar, if it really is rockstar. good thing i will be making seeds so this papaya male is perfect

out of 5 papayas there were 2 indica phenos, 2 sativa phenos and one hybrid pheno, which i must say responded the well after transplanting. it sprouted the garden's first full hairs within a day and the leaves began to smell strong to the touch as did the stem. again aside from the rockstar clone which is fully mature and has very strong smelling leaves/stems. papaya is jock horror (mexican haze x northern lights x skunk #1) x skunk#1 according to nirvana website btw

should add those few omri certified fertilizers from pro mix are just poop pellets. they make one for veg and one for bloom. i will be top dressing according to the label every 3-4 weeks. the reflectix flips up easily, just add the pellets and use a spoon to blend into soil. then pat down with the mulch disc, then spray a few times after application. will have to see how this goes

the P3 hybrid and the rockstar clone doubled in size in six days though : )

i guess this is a grow journal lol. here are some more pictures, one of the back of the tent where there is the ducting connecting the main 4x4 chamber to the 4x1 mother/clone chamber(tent is 6.5 ft high). at first i kept the 4x4 grow chamber sealed and the negative pressure pulled air through the bottom vent of the 4x1 chamber, then into the main grow chamber via the ducting and it worked fine. then after trial and error and mostly overheating, had to also open the big hole at the bottom of the main chamber. now most air goes in through there with only a slight pull of air coming in through the mother chamber which is perfect

using a metal halide for all veg/flowering btw. only because my last grow was in mid 90's with 1000w bare metal halide with parabolic in a dank townhouse basement. at harvest we crouched in the garden for pictures and the plants would trap us in like venus flytraps. if you even slightly touched a plant it became stuck to you and while you tried to get it off you would get stuck to another etc. those were skunk#1 and nl/indica btw. we also grew some thai seeds and a few others. the thais would have needed 20+ feet to mature probably, we never took them near most likely, they grew shoulder height fast and even after sprouting the first sets of fan leaves were maybe 10 inches, looked strange coming out of small pots like that right after sprouting

btw right now the temp just above the canopy is 34c but the reservoirs/soil is cool and the plants are thriving. hopefully i can wait on flowering a bit until after the hottest days not sure though

also forgot to mention i am using the gas lantern routine. the green bulb in the picture comes on for one hour so i don't have to run the hid more than once per day. most of these plants doubled in size in a week after transplanting i think it should be ok fingers crossed

For some reason I can't see any pictures.

I'm looking forward to see these Papaya's because I have a pack of seeds of those as well and this may very well be what I need to move them up the priority list.

Papaya is Jack Herer (Haze x {Northern Lights #5 x Shiva Skunk})x Skunk#1 BTW where as Jock Horror = Northern Light x Skunk x Haze
Seedfinder is a great website for genetic information of strains.

pictures are out today i think, they should be back hopefully

seedfinder is nice but sometimes there is different information than the seller websites. i did notice all of the forum talk and grow reports about papaya going back over ten years are about it being ice x citral and that it is nirvana's take on kc brains mango. only recently a few mentions of what is currently on the nirvana website which is jock horror x skunk#1

It seems that Seedsman also lists them as Jock Horror x Skunk#1 so my apologies.
On Nirvana's site I can't find any regulars anymore so perhaps they've quit with them completely so I'm glad I got a hold of them when I did.
Edit: found them now, on an extra tab on the Papaya feminized page.

    Still can't see them M_C

Most strange as they are working for me (even logged out) - But our programmer is fiddling behind the scenes, it could be something he's doing....
